Well … there’s one thing you can say about the leaders of Scientology: they never miss an opportunity to “blow up” over any imagined threat to their tiny island of religious impoverishment. I mean their air raid signals are going full blast right now - you’d think it was the start of WWIII. The picture below illustrates the “this is your brain on Dianetics” version of current events. This is better than one of those apocalyptic movies with the really bad script … I’m gettin’ me some popcorn and a Coke!

It has come. The winter of our destruction has arrived. As it was prophesied, the Second Annihilation would be thrust upon us by those we do not know … the Anonymous. They are soul-less harbingers of evil depicted in various hieroglyphs only as faces in the clouds. Take your families and proceed to the appointed place … you know what is to be done. Scientology fights back in court

The church is seeking a restraining order to stop a new round of protests.

CLEARWATER - With the Internet activist group Anonymous threatening a second round of protests against Scientology this weekend, the Clearwater-based church went to court late Tuesday, filing a petition for a temporary restraining order.

The petition was filed just before the close of court Tuesday afternoon, and the St. Petersburg Times could not obtain a copy of the petition.

Pat Harney, a spokeswoman for the Church of Scientology in Clearwater, confirmed the church had filed a request for a temporary restraining order, but on the advice of counsel, she refused to provide a copy of the lawsuit or discuss who it seeks to restrain. (more…)
