A report mentioned in the New York Times today presents some alarming statistics on religion in America. The article is based on a study by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, one of seven projects carried on by the Pew Research Center. But there is every indication that religion still plays a vital role in the live of most Americans. Except, apparently, for Scientologists, whom are not even given an “honorable mention” in the Pew study. (see screen shot below).
